Feng Shui Bedroom Door

Feng Shui Bedroom Door Principles

Affairs of the heart.  Don’t we all wish we had a little more “oomph” in our love life?  The modern schedule doesn’t’ seem to factor in the romantic needs, now does it.  What? You’re just going to give up?

You definitely don’t have to give in to the pressures of the day and go without a great relationship in your life. You know darn well you deserve a loving relationship.  And you know the perfect person for you is waiting out there. (Okay, so they’re not knocking on your door yet, but by the time you’re through reading this chapter, they may very well be!)

Feng shui can help you attract that special someone in your life – and you might not even have to go on any speed dates or fill out one more on-line personal form for a dating site to do it.  Wouldn’t that be great?

All that you need is a little feng shui finesse.  And we’ll help you with that right now.

If you prefer to use traditional feng shui, then you have probably already gone back to review what corner of your home is associated with romance.  That is the southwest corner.  If you’re using the more contemporary “relative” version of feng shui, then just review once more where that corner is in relation to your front door. As your standing at your front door facing the interior of your home, your romance corner would be in the far right hand area of your home.

Now check out what room that covers.

The southwest corner of your home in traditional feng shui practice is the area that rules the passions of the heart.  Check to see what room lies in this corner. Whether it’s your bedroom or some other room there are some simple changes you can make to help attract a romantic relationship.

First, you need to remove the clutter from the room.  As you’ll soon see clutter kills positive qi faster than anything else around.  In fact, if you could do just one act that would amp up the positive qi of a home, you would want to make it entirely clutter free.  Try it!  You’d be surprised at how the entire atmosphere of your home changes!

However, as we all know from experience, winning the “clutter wars” is not any easy feat!  But, if you’re serious about attracting a loving relationship – or re-igniting the one you already have you need to make this a priority.  Why?  If this area of your house is cluttered and littered with who knows what, you’re only ensuring that the energy into his room is low, slow and quite frankly . . . stuck.

Does that sound like your relationship?

If you want to transform your love life from “fizzling” to “sizzling” it’s time to tackle the room, clear it out and start that qi movin’ and accumulating again!

While you’re cleaning that room, make sure you remove anything – and we mean anything that reminds you of your failed romances from the past.  It could be an old piece of clothing from an old boyfriend . . . photographs of former lovers. .  gifts given to you by an old flame . . .

Excuse me, even that cute little teddy bear on your bed.  What?! You’re still sleeping with it.  Oh, yes!  Think about that!  It’s time he goes.  I’m sure you know some little girl that would love to have that teddy bear.  Let her sleep with him.  You’re busy making room for a new love!

Make sure you find everything and remove it from this room.

Make noise.  And lots of it.  Yes, this may sound strange, but once you clear the room of clutter, make loud noises.  Do whatever you feel compelled to do . . . ring a bell . . . shake some tambourines . . . play loud music in the room, or simply clap your hands.  This clears the nearly cleaned room of all the old energy and ensures that there’s room for the new energy to enter.

Then after you do that, be sure to keep some “noisemakers” in the room at all times to ensure the negative qi doesn’t accumulate.  You never have to use these noisemakers again, but they need to be “living” in this room.

Get the imagery out!

Images – photographs – are powerful . . . much more powerful than you can even imagine.  And that’s exactly why you need to eliminate all photos of showing only one person.  You also need to keep this room free from any photos or pictures that show solitude, aggression, conflict, disagreement and especially loneliness.  When you display these pictures you’re only attracting the sentiments, feelings and emotions that these photos represent.  And that’s the exact opposite of what you want!

Instead, place romantic images strategically in the room (if your bedroom doesn’t fall within your love sector, do this for your bedroom as well!)  You can do this simply by placing romantic images into very vital locations:  on the wall opposite the foot of your bed (this is the wall you naturally see when you lie in bed) and the area first see when you enter the room.

What should you place here?  Romantic artwork is always a great choice.  If that’s beyond your budget, try fresh or silk flowers.  Another romantic chi attractor is any piece that includes “pairs” – two birds, two angels, even two pillows.

The bedroom is also an excellent place for a round mirror.  The shape signifies completion and unity.  In short, look around your house.  What do you already have that says “romance”?  You certainly can use this.

Physically create room for another person!

Think about it! If you’re truly serious about attracting a new relationship – or improving the one you have – look around your room to make sure that there’s room for this new person. Carefully – and honestly – examine your closets your dressers, shelves and anything else.  If it shouts “ME! ME! ME!” then it’s time to clear some of the items.

No, you don’t have to make the room totally devoid of anything personal of yours.  Heck, you don’t even have to clear half of the room.  Try, though, to clear one-fourth of the room.  Now, there’s room for a relationship.  And, yes, by the way, once you’ve cleared that fraction of the room, visualize someone else’s possessions in that room.

Whatever it takes, get that exercise equipment out of your bedroom as well as the room in your home that falls within the love sector.  And if you currently do your exercises here, stop!  Exercising in your bedroom, or even storing your sports equipment in this room, only attracts the wrong type of energy.  It’ll invite energy associated with hard work and exertion.  That’s what you don’t want in your romantic space.

Is one side of your bed up against the wall?  How do you expect a second person to sleep here? If another person is already sleeping in this bed, with one side up against the wall, imagine how he or she feels.  Your partner may feel confined or even disempowered in the relationship.  Can you find another location for the bed?  Perhaps you can find a place where both sides have equal space.  In this way, you and your partner can discover equal enjoyment in the relationship.

Examine your door to the room.  (Yes, I’m serious!)Is it easy to open?  Can you open it completely or are there “things” stuffed behind the door preventing it from opening?  Make sure that your bedroom door opens easily and completely. Doors that can’t open are only blocking the flow of romantic energy.

Not only that, but ensure it doesn’t squeak or stick.  Make sure, additionally, that your doorknob isn’t loose.  This could mean that you’re having difficulty “getting a handle on” a new romantic relationship.

While you’re evaluating your bedroom door, make sure that your front door of your home also opens freely and completely.  Make sure that there are no blockages around this door as well.  After all, this is where that qi is entering in the first place!
Perform this simple exercise.  Walk slowly from your front door to your bedroom.  Along the way evaluate the area.  What you’re doing is examining the path the romantic chi follows from your front door to your bedroom.

Specifically you’re searching for any places in which your furniture or other personal belongings are either slowing or completely halting the flow of qi.  You’re also looking for places where the flow is being diverted from your bedroom.

Ensure, for example, that all the lights on this path are working properly.  If they aren’t, replace them.  Do you have any dark or dingy corners along the way from your front door to your bedroom door?  Discover ways to brighten them.

The purpose is to usher in the romantic qi effortlessly and easily. Don’t make the pathway an obstacle course for the qi – it’ll never reach your bedroom if you do!

Now you’re ready to create a clear intention of your desires.

Make a collage.  Include all images that symbolize your ideal relationship.  Then place it in an area where you are sure to see it every day.  If you’re already enjoying a romantic relationship, invite your partner to make it with you.  This represents your intention to build a loving, joyful and long relationship together.

How NOT to attract your true love:
What to eliminate from your bedroom—NOW!

Okay, so those stuffed animals carefully arranged in the corner of your bedroom is cute.  Adorable even.  But according to the feng shui philosophy, just isn’t helping your chances of creating a new healthy, loving relationship.  Quite frankly, it just may indicate that you’re seeking codependent relationships.  What it seems to say is that you’re more interested in finding a “parent figure” more than a lover.

Similarly, if you have any old board games from your past or even some dolls – even those gorgeous collectible porcelain ones – you’d be far better off taking them out of the bedroom.

Oh, no, I’m in no way even implying that you throw any of these items away.  Just find them new homes in other parts of the house – fast!

My, my!  What a wonderful – and sharp looking – saber you have hanging on your bedroom wall.  No wonder you’re looking for a new relationship.  According to the feng shui philosophy, your bedroom should be cleared of all sharp, pointed objects – that saber included!

Sharp angles and corners in your bedroom are thought in feng shui philosophy to drive off any potential lovers.  What kind of sharp pointy objects?  In addition to that scary-looking sword on your wall, try eliminating articles like umbrellas or even cactus.

And while you’re out, you can just remove that television as well.  It’s just one more object that takes the focus away from interacting with a real, live person (of the opposite sex!)  Neither Jon Stewart nor Stephen Colbert will keep you warm and cozy at night. So just find another room in which to watch television.

Does the feminine element seem to dominate your bedroom?   If you’re female, have you decorated to excess in frills, dolls, lacey pillows and bedcovers that just scream “female?”  You should tone that down a bit.  Make room for a male presence in the room.  While you don’t have to life in a Spartan like existence, you just want to cut some of that lace and “girlie” stuff out.

Sorry, but some of that make-up and those perfume bottles (I didn’t even know they made that many different types of perfume!) need to go as well.  You can store them in some other room.
