Essential Elements of Feng Shui

Essential Elements of Feng Shui

That’s all there is to it!

Now that was easy wasn’t it?  Look around you.  No doubt you’ve already made some changes in your home.  Perhaps they’re only small changes.  A knick knack here.  A candle there.

You might have even taken that saber out of your bedroom. (It’s about time!)

Now, you can kick back and enjoy the benefits all this rearranging brings.  Right?

Well, almost.  You’re not quite done.

We’ve mentioned it at the beginning of the book.  I’m duty-bound to mention it again. But I can limit it to one word: intention.

Yes!  Now this is the time when your mind takes over and helps to sweep out the old qi and attract the new, positive qi.

How do you do that?  By simply keeping your eyes on the goals.  At the beginning of the book, I suggested that you only tackle one problem area at a time.  I even suggested (I’m sure) that you write your goal down some place.  Then you place your attention and your intention on repairing – or as some feng shui masters say, “curing” the problem area.

Have you been keeping your intentions in the right place?  Now, not physically in your house – gee, you really did immerse yourself in feng shui. In your mind.  They should be in the forefront of your mind.

The contemporary spiritual master Deepak Chopra has a wonderful short saying he uses in one of his books:  Intention energizes.  Attention transforms.

This is exactly what you need now.  You need to place your “intention” on the area you need to transform.  This will energize the area – both figuratively and literally.  Imagine, if you’re looking for a new job, a great job interview.  Visualize working at the job of your dreams.  Feel the excitement of finally being able to perform the work you’ve wanted to do all your life.

Now, pay attention to intention by starting to perform tasks associated with it.  You’ll find that as you start, you’ll be creating even more enthusiasm for your goal.  That, coupled with your attention and intention to the feng shui aspects of your career area, should produce some powerful results in a relatively short amount of time.

And before you realize it, you’ll be discovering small coincidences – synchronicities of life – that place you exactly where you have to be to find the job and career of your dreams.

Once you experience this success in one area of your life, you’ll be planning successes in other areas of your life as well.  Slow down!  You can’t rearrange your entire house in a day!  Well, I really didn’t think it was possible.

No doubt armed with this vital information on feng shui, its five elements, the ultimate map of your home, the ba-gua and other vital ingredients to create success in every aspect of your life, you’re well on your way to even greater success than you had before.

And I’m sure you’re interested in discovering even more secrets that feng shui holds.  Go for it.

And may all your qi be positive!

Rock, scissors, paper.  Remember that game you used to play as kids?

Well, maybe there was more truth in the game than you knew. Feng shui, in addition to utilizing the existing qi or available energy all around us, also uses five of the essential elements of nature to help you boost specific areas of your life.

These elements are . . . well, elemental to the workings of this ancient art.  By placing symbols representing these five elements strategically around your home – or your office, or even just one room – you can help to attract that positive qi that’s essential to a successful feng shui treatment.

So just what are these elements?

Earth, wood, fire, metal and water.

Each of these in the art of feng shui has a variety of objects which represent it.  For example, the wood element is represented by living plants. Each element also is associated with specific colors and even shapes.  One of the shapes which symbolize the fire element is the triangle.  When you correctly place the designated feng shui element in the area of your concern (and you’ll learn about that in an upcoming lesson, so just be patient!) you can, according to the feng shui masters, literally change your fortune.

The converse then is also true.  For example, if you’re experiencing a drain in your finances right now, it’s more than likely because of poor placement of one of these five elements
In our next lesson, you’ll learn about what the “ultimate” map of your home is!  Armed with this knowledge, you’ll be able to tackle specific areas of your life in order to start changing your fortune from bad to good – with only the slight change of an object or two of your house!
